Patron: I'm looking for the Torah.
Me: Ok, follow me. Here's a copy of the Torah.
Patron: Is it in Hebrew?
Me: (opening book) It appears to be in English.
Patron: They have one that's in Hebrew and English. I want that. You learn more from the Hebrew. I don't want to be talking to a Jewish person and look stupid because I learned the wrong thing.
Me: That's understandable. Let me go search the catalog and see what else we have.
Patron: grumble...
Me: While we don't have anything on the shelf in Hebrew, this copy of the Five Books of Moses is pretty heavy on footnotes and explains the translation from Hebrew.
Patron: That's not what I'm looking for.
Me: Can you read Hebrew?
